Diesel Price Hike Expected Due to International Developments and Oil Prices

Due to developments between the US and Iran and volatility in oil prices, the liter price of diesel is expected to increase by 2.55 lira starting tomorrow.
Global Markets and Oil Prices
The failure of the expected contact between the US and Iran at the UN Summit in the US and Tehran's persistence in its nuclear program have increased uncertainties regarding the future of the war.
This increasing uncertainty in the markets directly reflected on oil prices. Oil prices, which showed an increase yesterday, recorded a decrease in the subsequent process.
Reflections on Fuel Prices
This volatility in the global oil market directly affected fuel prices domestically as well.
According to the information obtained, the liter price of diesel is expected to receive an increase of 2.55 lira, effective as of tomorrow.
Expected New Liter Prices
With the expected hike, the liter price of diesel is projected to rise to 93.45 liras in Istanbul.
With the same increase, diesel will rise to 94.55 liras in Ankara, 94.85 liras in Izmir, and 96.25 liras in the eastern provinces.
Effects of the Previous Discount
On September 24, a discount of 5.57 liras was applied to diesel prices, and thanks to this, liter prices in the three major cities had dropped down to the 90 lira levels.
With the aforementioned discount, the liter price of diesel had fallen to approximately 90.80 liras in Istanbul, 91.90 liras in Ankara, and 92.20 liras in Izmir.
