The Central Bank's gross and net foreign exchange reserves recorded a decline in the third week of September as well.
The decline process in the gross and net reserves of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey continued during the week of September 18.
Latest Status in Gross Reserves
According to data from the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, gross reserves dropped by 4.3 billion dollars to 174.4 billion dollars in the week of September 18.
Lowest Level Since Early August
With this decline, the lowest level recorded in gross reserves since the beginning of August was registered.
The Past Four-Week Picture
It was observed that the total gross reserve loss reached the level of 14 billion dollars over the past four-week period.
Net Reserves Below 60 Billion Dollars
The downward trend also continued in net reserve indicators, decreasing by 6.4 billion dollars to 55.8 billion dollars in the week of September 18. Thus, net reserves fell below 60 billion dollars for the first time since the end of July.
Net Reserves Excluding Swaps
In the same weekly period, net reserves excluding swaps also experienced a decline of 6.8 billion dollars, dropping to the level of 43.1 billion dollars.
