Economic Confidence Index Reached Highest Level in 39 Months in September
According to TURKSTAT data, the economic confidence index increased by 0.7 percent in September to reach 101.3, seeing its highest level since June 2023.
According to September data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute, the economic confidence index recorded an increase compared to its August level, reaching its highest value in the last thirty-nine months.
Index Increase in September
The economic confidence index data for September, announced by the Turkish Statistical Institute, was shared with the public. The index, which was 100.6 in August, showed an increase of 0.7 percent in September, reaching 101.3. With this result, the index saw its highest level since June 2023.
Changes in Sectoral Confidence Indices
According to the released data, sub-sectors experienced changes at varying rates. The consumer confidence index recorded a 1.3 percent monthly increase in September, rising to 91.9. In the same period, the real sector confidence index was recorded at 102.5 with a limited increase of 0.1 percent.
Service, Trade, and Construction Sectors
The service sector confidence index showed no change in September, remaining steady at 111.9. While the retail trade sector confidence index rose by 1.1 percent to 111.3, the construction sector confidence index decreased by 0.2 percent to 83.
