Eurozone and European Union July Trade Data Released
According to the international trade data for July in the eurozone and the European Union, the external trade surpluses of the regions have become clear.
According to data announced by the European Statistical Office, the eurozone achieved a foreign trade surplus of 14.2 billion euros in July, while the European Union's surplus was recorded at 8 billion euros.
Eurozone Export and Import Data
The eurozone's exports increased by 9 percent in July compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching the level of 276 billion euros.
In the same period, the region's imports also rose by 7.9 percent to 261.8 billion euros, resulting in a trade surplus of 14.2 billion euros.
European Union Trade Surplus Status
The European Union's exports recorded an increase of 7.8 percent in July compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching 247.1 billion euros.
Imports across the bloc rose by 9 percent to 239.1 billion euros, giving a total foreign trade surplus of 8 billion euros.
Countries with the Highest Imports and Exports
In July, the countries that imported the most from the European Union were the US with 49.1 billion euros and the UK with 31.8 billion euros.
During the same period, the countries that exported the most to the bloc were China with 53.9 billion euros and the US with 31.2 billion euros.
