Family and Youth Fund Support Continues for Young Couples
Zero-interest loan support provided to young couples through the Family and Youth Fund continues with multi-million-lira payments.
Within the scope of the Family and Youth Fund implemented by the Ministry of Family and Social Services, the total amount of support reached so far for young couples on the path to marriage and the payments made this month have been announced.
Financing and Purpose of the Fund
Implemented to strengthen the institution of the family and protect youth against social risks, the fund is financed by revenues generated from Turkey's underground resources. The project, carried out in all 81 provinces, aims to invest in the future of young people.
Young people can submit their applications via e-Government or the relevant website.
Loan Conditions and Amounts
If both couples wishing to benefit from the fund are between the ages of 18-25, they are provided with 250 thousand liras in support, and if they are in the 26-29 age range, 200 thousand liras.
Support is provided to couples whose applications are approved with a 48-month maturity and a 2-year grace period. The income requirement for the last 6 months is applied as 2.5 times the minimum wage.
Grant Opportunities for Those Having Children
For young couples who have their first child within 48 months, a 12-month payment is granted and the remaining debt is postponed for 12 months. In the event of having a second child, the entire remaining debt is granted.
Within the scope of the fund, 20,162 couples with one child and 409 couples with two or more children benefited from these rights.
Total Support Figures
Total applications made to the Family and Youth Fund, which has been expanded across Turkey, reached 308,767. This month, a payment of 2 billion 76 million liras was made to 18,334 young couples.
A total of 21 billion 48 million liras in zero-interest loan support was provided to 222,988 young people on the path to marriage. In addition to financial support, 260,234 young people have been supported through training and consultancy services to date.
