81 ilde 'Gıda Güvenliği' operasyonu

Within the scope of the Food Safety operation organized in 81 provinces under the coordination of the Ministry of Interior, counterfeit, imitated, and adulterated products with a market value of approximately 61 million TL were seized, while legal proceedings were initiated against 73 suspects.

Purpose and Scope of the Operation

A comprehensive inspection activity was carried out nationwide to protect citizens' health and ensure food safety.

Efforts were made to prevent the use of imitated and adulterated products as well as fake brands and packaging.

Inter-Institutional Coordination

The operation was carried out under the joint coordination of the General Directorate of Security and the units of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.

It aimed to prevent products that threaten public health from being placed on the market.

Thousands of Personnel Took Part

Thousands of expert personnel within the security and ministry structures actively served in the field during the inspections.

Controls and inspections were carried out at thousands of addresses with the participation of a total of 3,050 personnel.

Products Worth Millions of Liras Seized

As a result of the searches and inspections, numerous food, beverage, and dietary supplement products were placed under protection.

Along with the seized products, materials used in production and packaging were also confiscated.
