According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Ford has decided to recall 223,472 vehicles in the US due to leaking and improperly secured fuel tanks.

Reason for the Recall Decision

It was determined that the fuel tanks in the vehicles in question are not properly secured and are leaking. It is stated that the tanks could detach from the vehicle while driving.

Potential Safety Hazards

It is noted that a dislodged fuel tank could pose a hazard in traffic and increase the risk of an accident. Furthermore, it is emphasized that fuel leakage could cause the engine to stall or lead to a fire hazard.

Models Included in the Scope and Solution

The recall decision covers certain F-150 model vehicles manufactured between 2023 and 2027. Authorized service centers will inspect and replace the fuel tank straps free of charge.
