During the Economic Coordination Meeting held under the chairmanship of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, recent developments in capital markets were discussed, and a Fund Coordination Board was established for funds to be liquidated.

Economic Coordination Meeting Held

According to a statement made on the social media account of the Presidency's Directorate of Communications, the Economic Coordination Meeting was held under the chairmanship of President Erdoğan, with the participation of economic policymakers and senior executives of relevant institutions. At the meeting, recent developments in the capital markets were evaluated, and participants presented information on their work.

Emphasis on Protection of Investor Rights

President Erdoğan emphasized that meticulously continuing the work regarding funds decided for liquidation, protecting investor rights, and making payments in the shortest time possible are the main priorities. In this context, the 'Fund Coordination Board' was established under the chairmanship of the Vice President in order to carry out the liquidation process swiftly and ensure general coordination.

State Supervisory Council Launched an Investigation

Upon the instruction of the President, the State Supervisory Council launched an investigation and audit process covering investment fund transactions in the capital markets. It was decided to implement additional administrative and legal regulations to prevent similar situations from recurring.

Transfer Processes and Payment Plan

At the meeting, information was also provided regarding the transfer process of Katılımevim and Birevim Savings Finance companies, as well as İktisat Katılım Bankası, to Türkiye Emlak Katılım Bankası. The Capital Markets Board presented a roadmap for making payments to investors whose entitlement reconciliation has been completed in funds within the scope of liquidation.
