G20 Young Entrepreneurs' Alliance Summit Convenes in Vienna

The G20 Young Entrepreneurs' Alliance 2026 Summit, held in Austria's capital Vienna ahead of the US Leaders' Summit in December, has kicked off with the participation of more than 400 young entrepreneurs from 17 countries.

Location and Significance of the Summit

Aiming to have a say in the future of the global economy, the G20 Young Entrepreneurs' Alliance 2026 Summit is being held for the first time outside the country hosting the leaders' summit, in Austria's capital Vienna. Young entrepreneurs of the G20 group, which represents 85 percent of global production and 75 percent of world trade, came together this year under the focus heading of entrepreneurial vision.

Wide Participation Delegation

The opening of the summit, held between September 15-19, 2026, took place with the participation of over 400 young entrepreneurs from 17 countries under the presidency of the Young Businessmen Association of Turkey. TÜGİAD President Gürkan Yıldırım stated that they attended the Vienna Summit with a delegation of approximately 65 people, and that this figure is one of the highest participations in G20 summits in the association's 40-year history.

Quota and Visa Barriers in Europe

TÜGİAD President Gürkan Yıldırım drew attention to issues such as quotas, visas, and the Customs Union that companies face in economic relations between Turkey and Europe. Stating that the business won in Europe can reach twice the export quota, Yıldırım expressed the importance of issues such as visa problems and the modernization of the Customs Union.
