Germany Was the Top Destination for Turkey's Exports in August 2026
According to General Trade System data, Germany was the top export destination in August 2026, while high rates of increase were observed in certain markets.
Turkey's foreign trade data for August 2026 has been announced. Accordingly, the highest volume of exports was realized to Germany with 1.759 billion dollars, while significant growth rates were recorded in several country markets.
Germany Ranked First
Germany was the country to which Turkey exported the most in August, with 1.759 billion dollars.
Followed by the US and the UK
Germany was followed by the United States with 1.734 billion dollars and the United Kingdom with 1.201 billion dollars.
Increases in the Swiss and US Markets
According to General Trade System data, exports to the Swiss market increased by 477.5 percent and to the US by 37.6 percent in August.
Rise in Iraq and Spain
It was stated that a reciprocal increase of 10.5 percent was recorded in the markets of Iraq and Spain.
Exports to Certain Countries Declined
Compared to the same period of last year, exports to the Netherlands decreased by 15.8 percent, to Italy by 11.8 percent, to France by 2 percent, and to Germany by 0.6 percent.
