During the first eight months of 2026, research, development, and innovation activities in the field of science and technology in Can Tho city were implemented simultaneously and effectively, achieving significant administrative milestones.
Tasks and Advisory Groups
The city established a total of five expert advisory groups to review, select, and assign additional science and technology tasks to be implemented in 2026.
Establishment and Budget Evaluations
Advisory councils were formed to select the organizations and individuals to carry out thirty-five science and technology tasks, and the content and budget of twenty-three tasks were evaluated.
Contract and Registration Processes
Implementation evaluations were conducted for seventeen science and technology tasks, while twenty tasks were accepted and official contracts were signed for the implementation of seventeen tasks.
High-Tech Park Project
The city administration focused on finalizing the plan for the establishment of the Can Tho High-Tech Park to be submitted to competent authorities for approval within the framework of the High-Tech Law.
Policies for the Upcoming Period
In the coming period, the Politburo's Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW will be effectively implemented, and mechanisms to enhance the competitiveness of the local economy will be developed.
