World's leading banks and financial institutions have decided to establish a joint stablecoin issuing company for global digital payment systems and cross-border transactions.
Twenty-one global financial institutions, including Bank of America, Deutsche Bank, and UBS, have announced that they will establish a joint company to issue a stablecoin with the aim of transforming digital payment systems.
Establishment of the Joint Company
Twenty-one financial institutions, including some of the world's leading banks, announced that they will establish a joint company to support the issuance of stablecoins on a global scale.
It was reported that while the operational process of the new company to be established is subject to necessary regulatory approvals, the company's name will be announced to the public in the future.
First Goal Focused on the Dollar
In the first phase, the joint venture plans to focus on issuing a stablecoin pegged directly to the US dollar.
Among the long-term goals of the project is the introduction of alternative stablecoins pegged to the euro and the national currencies of other G7 countries.
Wide Areas of Use
It was stated that the use case of the new digital asset to be developed will not be limited to retail payments alone, but will appeal to a wide ecosystem.
The stablecoin solution is targeted to be actively used in cross-border payments, digital asset settlements, wholesale and corporate transactions, and retail payments.
Global Participant Network
A large number of well-established banking and investment institutions from North America, Europe, East Asia, the Middle East, and Africa participated in the project.
The global network includes giant financial institutions such as Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Deutsche Bank, UBS, Goldman Sachs, and Citi.
Market Launch Schedule
The launch date of the structure, which combines bank-grade compliance, robust governance, and institutional risk management elements, has been determined.
The joint stablecoin solution is planned to be officially launched in the first half of 2027 following the necessary regulatory processes.
