Ceylan Tığ, who underwent screening upon the guidance of Cancer Early Diagnosis, Screening and Education Center (KETEM) personnel at a family health center in Kocaeli where she went to get a prescription, overcame stage one colon cancer through early diagnosis and successful operations.

Guidance at the Family Health Center

Ceylan Tığ, who went to a family health center in Kocaeli to get a prescription, encountered personnel from the Cancer Early Diagnosis, Screening and Education Center there.

Persuaded by the personnel to undergo screening, taking into account her family history of cancer, Tığ thus took the first step in the early diagnosis process.

Diagnosis and First Surgery

As a result of the comprehensive examinations performed, it was determined that Ceylan Tığ was diagnosed with stage 1 colon cancer.

Following the diagnosis, her first surgery was performed at Marmara University Pendik Training and Research Hospital.

Second Operation and Treatment Process

It was determined during routine check-ups that the disease had recurred, and Tığ was referred to Kocaeli University Research and Application Hospital.

Following a second operation at this hospital and about 3 years of treatment, she managed to regain her health.
