Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat evaluated the strategic advantages Türkiye offers to global investors and commercial relations with the US at the 19th Türkiye Investment Conference held in New York.

Increase in Foreign Direct Investments

Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat noted that total foreign direct investment reaching Türkiye from 2002 until July 2026 rose to $294.7 billion. He also stated that as of 2025, the number of foreign-capitalized companies operating in the country reached 88,771.

He expressed that with its dynamic domestic market of 86 million, advanced logistics capabilities, qualified human resources, and extensive preferential trade network, Türkiye serves as a reliable production and export hub for international investors.

Targets in Türkiye-US Trade

Pointing out that bilateral trade in goods between Türkiye and the US reached $38.6 billion in 2025, Bolat reported that they aim to take this volume to higher levels through mutual investments and production collaborations.

The statement emphasized that there are significant partnership opportunities for companies from both countries in high value-added sectors such as energy, renewable energy, artificial intelligence, digital economy, defense, and aerospace.
