GÜRİŞ Among Candidates in Kosovo's First Wind Energy Competition

GÜRİŞ İnşaat was among the three candidates that submitted valid bids for the first wind energy competition organized by the Ministry of Economy of Kosovo, which envisions a capacity of 50 to 100 megawatts.

Candidates Participating in the Competition

According to the official statement made by the Ministry of Economy of Kosovo, a total of three valid bids were submitted for the first wind energy competition, which is planned to provide a capacity between 50 and 100 megawatts.

Apart from GÜRİŞ, a consortium formed by the French company Akuo Energy SAS, the German company Notus Energy GMBH, and the Kosovan company Stublla Energy LLC also submitted a bid for the competition.

Evaluation and Process

It was reported that in the next stage of the process, the submitted bids will be evaluated in detail from technical and administrative perspectives.

Bids found suitable as a result of the evaluation will proceed to the financial evaluation stage, and the bidder offering the lowest price will obtain the capacity right.

Details of Purchase Guarantee

The project that wins the capacity right will have the advantage of a purchase guarantee based on a Contract for Difference, valid for fifteen years.

Previous Investments in Kosovo

While there are currently four separate wind power plants in Kosovo, the first of these, the 32.4-megawatt Kitka project, was brought to life in 2018 with an investment by GÜRİŞ.

At that time, the company had secured a 12-year purchase guarantee of eighty-five euros per megawatt-hour for this project.
