Highest-earning professions of 2026 announced in Turkey
A new study conducted by the Boğaziçi Institute has revealed the income structure of sectors in the country and the highest-paid professional groups.
According to the research report prepared by the Boğaziçi Institute, the professional groups with the highest average monthly income in Turkey in 2026 have been determined. As a result of the analyses, the notary profession took the top spot on the list.
Top Professional Groups
Examining the income structure of sectors in Turkey, the Boğaziçi Institute research revealed the professional groups with the highest average monthly income in 2026. Professions in the fields of law, aviation, and IT drew attention at the top of the list.
Notary Profession Ranked First
According to the research data, being a notary achieved the title of the highest-earning professional group of 2026, generating an average monthly income of 456 thousand Turkish Liras. This profession was followed by piloting from the aviation sector.
Piloting and Software Engineering
Following the top spot, the piloting profession offers an average monthly income of 350 thousand Turkish Liras. Software engineering secured the third place on the list with an average monthly earning of 348 thousand Turkish Liras.
Fields of Law, Finance, and Healthcare
Professions in the law, finance, and healthcare sectors also came to the forefront in the upper ranks of the list. Insurance expertise ranked fourth with 270 thousand Turkish Liras, while advocacy ranked fifth with 264 thousand Turkish Liras.
Pharmacy and Medical Doctor Earnings
Among the professional groups in the healthcare field, pharmacy ranked sixth with an average monthly earning of 242 thousand Turkish Liras. The medical doctor profession secured the seventh place with an average income of 230 thousand Turkish Liras.
Other Professions in the Top Ten
Management consultancy, financial consultancy, and petroleum engineering occupied the last three spots of the list. Management consultancy ranks eighth with 210 thousand Turkish Liras, and financial consultancy ranks ninth with 200 thousand Turkish Liras.
Petroleum Engineering in Tenth Place
In the comprehensive research conducted, petroleum engineering took the last spot in the top 10. It was determined that the average monthly income of this professional group is around the level of 190 thousand Turkish Liras.
