Highest Level in the History of the Republic Reached in September Exports
According to data announced by the Turkish Exporters Assembly, foreign sales gained significant momentum in September, rising to 26 billion dollars.
Turkish Exporters Assembly President Mustafa Gültepe announced that exports in September increased by 15.4 percent compared to the same period of last year, reaching 26 billion dollars, which marks the highest September export in history.
Record Level of Exports Realized in September
Turkish Exporters Assembly President Mustafa Gültepe announced at the meeting where foreign trade data was released that exports recorded a 15.4 percent increase on an annual basis in September. With this rate, a volume of 26 billion dollars was reached, achieving the highest September export as well as the second highest monthly export value ever.
Countries and Provinces with the Most Exports
In September, a total of 56 provinces succeeded in increasing their exports. Looking at the distribution by country, the top three countries where foreign sales were made the most were Germany, the United States of America, and the United Kingdom, respectively.
Sectoral Distribution and Those in the Top Five
When examined on a sectoral basis, 19 sectors increased their exports in September, while 7 sectors experienced a decline. The automotive, chemicals, electrical-electronics, jewelry, and steel sectors were among the top five sectors that realized the highest exports during the period.
The First Nine Months of the Year and the Annual Table
According to the announced data, total exports in the first nine month period of the year approached the threshold of 211 billion dollars. While the total export volume for the last 12-month period approached 284 billion dollars, it was stated that the export target set for the year 2026 is 282 billion dollars.
New Companies and Foreign Exchange Conversion Support
In September, 1,015 new companies achieved the success of exporting for the first time. On the other hand, TIM President Gültepe expressed that the application procedures for the foreign exchange conversion support, which came into effect on October 1, fell short of meeting expectations and increased bureaucratic processes.
