Highest Price Increase in September Occurred in Higher Education

Increases in Education and Accommodation Sectors
Higher education was followed by dates, figs, and tropical fruits with an increase of 23.31 percent.
The category of accommodation services in boarding schools, universities, and other educational institutions showed an increase of 19.99 percent.
Other Items Showing Increases
Among other products whose prices increased in September, school buses drew attention with a rate of 16.04 percent.
Additionally, diesel recorded an increase of 12.93 percent, margarine 12.23 percent, and gasoline 11.55 percent.
Products with the Most Price Decreases
Last month, the largest price drop on a consumer price basis occurred in the fresh citrus category with 24.41 percent.
Citrus fruits were followed by other fresh or chilled vegetables with a rate of 17.62 percent.
Decreases in Fruit and Transportation Prices
In September, other fresh fruits recorded a price decrease of 13.12 percent.
International passenger transport by air experienced a price drop of 12.96 percent.
Price Decreases in Various Categories
Tuberous vegetables decreased in price by 11.78 percent, while the self-drive rental of personal transport vehicles declined by 9.22 percent.
Live, fresh, chilled, or frozen fish showed a price reduction of 8.89 percent.
