ICT and technology services exports exceeded 6.7 billion dollars in 2025

Turkey's telecommunications, computer, and information services exports reached 6 billion 724 million dollars by the end of 2025, ranking fourth in the services sector.

According to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute, the country's net surplus in the services balance reached 63 billion dollars by the end of 2025. During this period, the telecommunications, computer, and information services sector recorded remarkable growth, significantly increasing its exports.

Major Increase in Exports

Turkey's telecommunications, computer, and information services sector exports rose from 5 billion 367 million dollars in 2024 to 6 billion 724 million dollars by the end of 2025, with an increase of 1 billion 357 million dollars.

Sector's Share and Ranking

The informatics sector, whose share in total service exports increased from 4.6 percent in 2024 to 5.4 percent in 2025, became the fourth main service sector generating the most foreign currency, following travel, transportation, and other business services.

Imports and Foreign Trade Volume

Imports in the sector increased by 30.8 percent in 2025 to reach 7 billion 51 million dollars. Thus, the total international foreign trade volume in the field of informatics and technology was calculated at 13 billion 775 million dollars.

Other Service Areas

Exports of charges for the use of intellectual property rights, which cover patent, license, and copyright revenues, increased by 15.4 percent to reach 696 million dollars. Meanwhile, other business services exports, including R&D, engineering, and consulting activities, increased by 14.5 percent to reach 7 billion 872 million dollars.
