Increase in Social Media Usage Rate Among European Union Businesses
According to recent figures shared by Eurostat, nearly two-thirds of companies operating across the European Union maintain a presence on digital platforms.
According to Eurostat data, the social media usage rate of businesses with at least 10 employees in the European Union rose to 63.6 percent in 2025. Malta took the top spot while Bulgaria ranked last.
Upward Trend Across Europe
According to the latest data released by Eurostat, a significant increase was recorded in the social media usage rates of enterprises with 10 or more employees in European Union member countries. This rate, which was previously 61.1 percent, reached 63.6 percent in the latest evaluations.
Leading Countries and Malta's Position
In country-by-country examinations, it was determined that the country where businesses use social media platforms most intensively is Malta with a rate of 88.2 percent. This country was followed by Finland with 87.6 percent and Denmark with 86.1 percent.
Lowest Rate in Bulgaria
Countries remaining below the European Union average were also included in the report. Accordingly, the country where the proportion of businesses using social media was recorded at the lowest level was Bulgaria with a rate of 41.5 percent.
