International Success in Civil Aviation from Turkey
Turkey surpassed the European and North Atlantic regional average with a 95.45 percent success rate achieved in the ICAO audit.
According to the statement made by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Turkey achieved a 95.45 percent success rate in the audit conducted within the scope of the ICAO Universal Safety Oversight Audit Programme.
Audit Scope and Areas
According to the statement made by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, the On-Site Validation Mission audit was successfully completed within the scope of USOAP CMA. Within the framework of the audits carried out between September 16 and 22, the areas of legislation, organization, flight operations, and airworthiness were re-evaluated.
Results Above the Regional Average
Turkey succeeded in exceeding the ICAO European and North Atlantic regional average in all examined headings. The country achieved an effective implementation level of over ninety percent in the areas of legislation, flight operations, and airworthiness.
Closing Meeting and Standards
The results shared at the closing meeting of the audit on September 22 officially registered the high standard reached by the Turkish civil aviation safety oversight system and institutional capacity.
The Role of Digital Systems
Studies on legislation, institutional capacity, technological development, and digital transformation carried out under the coordination and support of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure played a critical role in the success achieved. The digital systems implemented contributed to the traceability of processes.
Future Targets and Next-Generation Oversight
It was stated that the obtained result is not a final goal, but an important stepping stone in moving the safety system further forward. It is aimed to strengthen a next-generation civil aviation oversight system that proactively detects risks.
