Iranian President Pezeshkian calls on India to cooperate on Chabahar Port
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that they are ready to work together with India in every field, including trade, at the Chabahar Port on the coast of the Sea of Oman.
In an interview with a foreign television channel, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian announced that they want to develop cooperation with India in all areas, primarily trade, at the strategically important Chabahar Port.
Chabahar Port and India Cooperation
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized that they are ready to establish a comprehensive partnership with India regarding the strategically important Chabahar Port located in the southeastern part of the country.
Speaking to the Indian media outlet India Today, Pezeshkian stated that his relations with the Prime Minister of India are getting better day by day.
International Relations and Transportation Corridors
Stating that Russia and China are among Iran's important friends, Pezeshkian noted that they maintain good relations with these countries and aim to deepen ties with India as well.
Pezeshkian also expressed readiness to revive the historic Silk Road and all other transportation corridors passing through Iranian territory.
Strait of Hormuz and Regional Policies
Evaluating the Strait of Hormuz, Pezeshkian reminded that efforts are ongoing to create a new route for passage through the strait together with Oman.
He stated that if the United States lifts the naval blockade, the Strait of Hormuz could be opened within the framework of international law rules.
Relations with the United Arab Emirates
Emphasizing that Iran has no hostility toward any regional country, including the United Arab Emirates, Pezeshkian said they consider neighboring countries as brothers.
He added that they currently maintain good relations with the United Arab Emirates and can advance these ties even further.
