Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat made evaluations regarding the July 2026 current account balance, reporting that the current account surplus was 36 million dollars during this period.

July Current Account Surplus

Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat shared the data by recalling that the current account surplus was 1.8 billion dollars in July 2025.

The current account surplus was realized as a surplus of 36 million dollars in July 2026.

Annualized Figures and Foreign Trade

The annualized current account deficit materialized at the level of 40.7 billion dollars.

A surplus of 27.8 billion dollars was recorded in the annualized current account balance excluding gold and energy.

Service Exports and Revenues

Service exports increased on an annualized basis by 3.2 percent in July 2026.

Service exports reached a total of 124.7 billion dollars.

Travel and Transportation

It was noted that travel revenues on an annualized basis amounted to 60.3 billion dollars.

Transportation revenues, on the other hand, were recorded at 43.7 billion dollars in the same period.

Total Exports and Ratios

The total of goods and service exports showed an increase of 3.3 percent.

Total exports rose to 403.2 billion dollars with this increase.

Historical Performance

The ratio of the current account deficit to national income was 1.9 percent in 2025.

In the second quarter of 2026, the performance below the historical average of 2.3 percent continued on an annualized basis.
