Lottery schedule announced for TOKİ Istanbul rental social housing project
Applications have ended for the TOKİ rental social housing project being implemented for the first time in Istanbul. Beneficiaries will be determined by a lottery in October.
It has been announced that following the completion of the application process for the rental social housing project to be implemented for the first time in Istanbul by the Housing Development Administration (TOKİ), a lottery draw will be held in October after evaluations.
Application Process Completed
The application process for the rental social housing, hosted by the Housing Development Administration for the first time in Istanbul, which started on September 14, ended as of September 25.
Lottery Draw in October
Following the completion of applications and the subsequent evaluations, a lottery draw will be held in October for citizens who meet the conditions and whose applications are accepted as valid.
It was stated that immediately after the lottery draw, the first key handovers will take place and citizens will become tenants of the state.
Statement from Minister Kurum
Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum stated in a post on his social media account that the owners of 1,071 houses among the citizens who meet the conditions will be determined by lottery in October.
Who Can Apply?
To benefit from the project in Istanbul, household income must be below 100,000 TL, applicants must not own a registered house in the land registry, and they must be Turkish citizens over the age of 18 and married.
In addition, applicants are required to have continuously resided in Istanbul for at least 1 year.
Rental Prices and Distribution
While 1,071 houses in the first phase and a total of 15,000 houses are offered for the use of low-income families, 1+1 apartments will be rented starting from 10,000 TL, 2+1 apartments from 12,000 TL, 3+1 apartments from 15,000 TL, and 4+1 apartments starting from 18,000 TL.
