Mass Production Started in the National High-Speed Train Project
As mass production enters a new phase for the National High-Speed Train developed by TÜRASAŞ, a total of 14 sets are planned to be produced within two years.
Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that the mass production process has begun for the National High-Speed Train, developed with domestic resources by TÜRASAŞ, and that a total of 14 sets are targeted for production.
Testing Processes and Speed Information
While testing processes for the first National High-Speed Train set are successfully continuing, the first set, which has an operational speed of 225 kilometers per hour, reached a speed of 250 kilometers per hour within the scope of dynamic running safety tests.
While test works for the first set continue, production of the second set has started, and with this step, the project has officially transitioned into the mass production phase.
Production Targets and Capacity
In line with the plans made, it is targeted to produce a total of 14 National High-Speed Train sets over a two-year period, with 7 sets in 2027 and 7 sets in 2028.
Consisting of 8 cars each and having a total passenger capacity of 577, these train sets are brought to life entirely through domestic engineering capabilities.
Domestic Systems and Factory Investment
The Train Control and Management System and the Traction System were designed with domestic and national capabilities in cooperation with ASELSAN.
Meanwhile, works at Turkey's first high-speed train factory, which is under construction within TÜRASAŞ in Sakarya, have reached the 90 percent completion level.
