Minister of Labour and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan met with his counterpart Marina Elvira Calderone in Italy's capital, Rome, where he went to hold various contacts and attend programs.

Areas of Cooperation Discussed

During the meeting, the development of cooperation between Turkey and Italy in the fields of working life, employment, vocational training, and social security was discussed in detail.

Concrete Results Achieved

Minister Işıkhan stated that as a result of the intensive and devoted efforts of the technical delegations, the process reached a concrete result in a short time, and expressed his satisfaction with this situation.

Emphasis on Strategic Partnership

It was emphasized that Turkey's relations with Italy, a NATO ally and strategic partner, are progressing positively in every field on the basis of mutual respect and common interests.

Economic Goals and Opportunities

It was stated that the target of increasing the bilateral trade volume between the two countries to 40 billion dollars and the developing partnerships in various sectors, especially the defense industry, deepen economic relations.

Importance of Experience Sharing

Drawing attention to the fact that increasing economic relations create new opportunities in terms of qualified human resources and labor mobility, the importance of experience sharing was discussed.
