Dünyaca ünlü yatırım bankasında e-posta hatası! Geri çekmeye çalıştı ama çok geç kaldı... Morgan Stanley’de neler oluyor?

A confidential internal document containing Morgan Stanley's investment banking deals in Asia was accidentally leaked to clients via email by an employee. The bank has launched an investigation following the incident.

Accidentally Sent Internal Document

A Morgan Stanley employee accidentally leaked an internal document containing over 100 investment banking deals tracked by the company in Asia.

This situation led to the exposure of confidential details regarding the bank's business development processes and the sharing of plans across a wide geography.

Projects in Asia and Other Regions

The document included initial public offering candidates and various projects in the region stretching from China to South Korea and India.

Additionally, the list contained information regarding transactions in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, as well as private equity and pension funds.

Email Delivery and Recall Effort

After the list was emailed to certain clients by unit head Mohamed Atmani, the executive attempted to recall the message.

However, this effort fell short, and a blurred copy of the document was also shared on the social media platform Instagram.

Incorrect File Version Shared

Instead of the file containing general updates prepared for clients, the internal version harboring sensitive and comprehensive information was accidentally sent.

This made error paved the way for the leakage of sensitive data that resonated widely within the financial world.

Statement from Bank Management

Hong Kong-based senior executive Atmani did not immediately make a statement regarding the issue and could not be reached.

Meanwhile, Morgan Stanley stated in remarks to Bloomberg News that it takes client confidentiality extremely seriously and has taken action to address the matter.
