New Regulations on Alimony and Social Media with the 13th Judicial Package

As the Grand National Assembly of Turkey prepares for the new legislative year, the 13th Judicial Package, being prepared by the Ministry of Justice and the AK Party group, stands out. Within the scope of the draft, critical topics such as alimony regulations, divorce principles, and the requirement of real identities on social media are on the table.
Parliament Begins New Legislative Year
The Grand National Assembly of Turkey will begin its 5th Legislative Year with the speech of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in accordance with the Constitution, and this term will continue until July 1, 2027.
International Sites and Taxation
Among the first agenda items of the Parliament are new legal regulations that will ensure international holiday sites like Booking and Kızılay open representative offices in Turkey and pay taxes.
13th Judicial Package Preparations
The 13th Judicial Package, which is being worked on by the Ministry of Justice and the AK Party group, occupies a priority place among the most important legislative issues of the new term.
Alimony and Divorce Regulations
In parallel with the decisions of the Constitutional Court, it is planned to make changes to the indefinite alimony practice by introducing a lower limit and grading it according to the duration of the marriage.

Goal of Combating Crimes
It is stated that transitioning to a real identity verification system via e-Government on social media will prevent the commission of crimes such as illegal betting, drugs, and prostitution.
