Assignment and Objective

The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has given the Department of Science and Technology the responsibility of coordinating with relevant agencies in implementing the project to create new concentrated digital technology zones in the city. This step is considered an important move to expand the field of technological development and innovation and reaffirm the country's leading role in the digital economy.

Infrastructure from Past to Present

Ho Chi Minh City has long played a pioneering role in building information infrastructure and developing the digital technology industry. Models such as the Quang Trung Software Park stand out among the most concrete and successful examples of this process to date.

New Industrial Park Locations

In line with rapid technological developments and increasing regional competition, new parks are planned to transcend the boundaries of existing areas. Within the scope of the project, potential locations include Cu Chi, Trung My Tay, Thu Duc, Nha Be, Tan Thuan, Binh Chanh, and the former areas of Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau.

Targeted Area and Employment

With this comprehensive project, it is planned to allocate between 750 and 1,000 hectares of land across the city. Additionally, the new zones to be established aim to create between 400,000 and 500,000 new digital jobs.
