New increases implemented in diesel and LPG prices
While increases in fuel products continue, price hikes are also expected in LPG products following the increase in diesel.
Within the scope of successive price changes in the fuel sector, a hike of 3 liras and 60 kurus was applied to diesel, and an increase is also expected for LPG starting from the night of September 2.
Diesel Price Hike and SCT Regulation
As increases in fuel prices continue, a price hike of 3 liras and 60 kurus was reflected in the diesel group. It was anticipated that the Special Consumption Tax amount levied on diesel would be increased in September and that a 20 percent VAT would be added to this amount.
Expected Increase in LPG Prices
Following the hike in diesel, according to information obtained from industry sources and the posts of journalist Cemil Cahit Saraçoğlu, it was reported that there will also be an increase in LPG prices. A hike ranging between 1.07 TL and 1.11 TL depending on the tanks is expected to be effective as of the night of September 2.
SCT Plan for the Remainder of the Year
In accordance with the Presidential Decree, the diesel SCT amount, which was reset in the remaining part of August, is planned to be increased gradually in the last four months of the year. Within this scope, the SCT amount is projected to be 3 TL in September, 6 TL in October, 9 TL in November, and 12 TL in December.
SCT Projection for Next Year
Within the framework of the planned gradual increase schedule, it is targeted to raise the SCT amount on diesel to the level of 13.9006 TL starting from January 1, 2027. On the gasoline side, no different price change is expected as of September 1.
