The Medium-Term Program covering the 2027-2029 period, announced by Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, was published in the duplicate issue of the Official Gazette. With the new program, the framework of economic policies to be implemented over the next three-year period has become clear.

Inflation and Growth Targets

Targets were revised due to regional wars, geopolitical risks, and increases in energy and commodity prices. According to the updated data, the inflation forecast for 2026 was set at 28.4 percent, the inflation forecast for 2027 at 21 percent, while the 2026 growth forecast was updated to the level of 3.3 percent.

National Income and Budget Projections

It was stated that Turkey's Gross Domestic Product was 1 trillion 602 billion dollars in 2025, and this figure is projected to rise to 1 trillion 821 billion dollars in 2026 and 1 trillion 984 billion dollars in 2027. Per capita national income is expected to be 20,523 dollars in 2026 and 22,285 dollars in 2027.

According to central government budget deficit forecasts, a deficit of 2.6319 trillion liras is expected in 2026, while the 2027 budget deficit is projected to rise to approximately 3.9 trillion Turkish Liras, namely 3 trillion 865 billion liras.
