New Model Announced at MÜSİAD EXPO 2026 Opens Production Gateway for Turkish Textile Sector in Syria

A new production and cooperation model was announced to the public within the scope of MÜSİAD EXPO 2026 for Turkish textile and apparel companies struggling to maintain their competitive advantage due to rising costs.

New Production Model Introduced

The new Syrian production model targeting textile companies that struggle to maintain their competitive power due to rising labor and production costs in Turkey was announced at MÜSİAD EXPO 2026.

Abdullah Karaca, Turkey Representative of the General Union of Craftsmen and Artisans of Syria, stated that the model was announced to the public and that the Ministry of Trade is also informed about the process.

Workshop Capacity in Syria

According to the announced plan, the infrastructure consisting of 10,000 qualified employees and 400 textile workshops within the borders of Syria is offered for cooperation with Turkish companies.

This model, planned to be implemented in the cities of Aleppo, Damascus, and Hama, aims to come to life by activating the ready-made facilities in the region.

Financial Support and Incentives

Within the scope of the program, it is anticipated that investment and production models meeting the appropriate conditions will be provided with financial support of up to $1,000 per month for 36 months.

Along with these monthly contributions to be provided, the total support is planned to reach thirty-six thousand dollars.

Strategic Objectives and Scope

It was emphasized that the implemented model aims to combine Turkey's brand, technology, and design power with the human resources in Syria rather than completely moving production out of Turkey.

Representative Abdullah Karaca noted that the project is currently open to the entire world, but efforts are underway to make it entirely dedicated to Turkish companies.
