New Regulation in Fuel Prices: Price Hike for LPG and Discount for Diesel
With the end of the sliding scale system, LPG prices have increased, while a price cut per liter is expected in the diesel group.
With the removal of the sliding scale system in the fuel market, tax regulations have come into effect. In line with the decisions taken, consecutive price hikes were applied to LPG prices, while expectations for a discount emerged in the diesel group.
Increase in LPG Prices
With the regulation published in the Official Gazette, the pre-sliding scale SCT practice for LPG was reinstated, and the increases were reflected at the pump prices.
With the effect of changes in the refinery exit price, autogas prices exceeded 40 liras in metropolitan cities.
Expectation of Discount for Diesel
According to information obtained from industry sources, a significant discount per liter is expected in the diesel group.
Following the expected discount, diesel liter prices are projected to decline in metropolitan cities and eastern provinces.
The End of the Sliding Scale System
The sliding scale system, which has been applied to fuel for a long time, was terminated as of October 1, and tax amounts were increased.
With the regulation made, the SCT amount applied to LPG was raised and reflected in current market prices.
