New Regulations Prepared with EIDS in the Real Estate Sector

As new regulations are being made by the Ministry of Trade on the Electronic Listing Verification System to prevent fake listings, price manipulations, and unregistered real estate brokerage in the real estate sector, details regarding authorization contracts and the secure payment system were shared.

Electronic Listing Verification System Regulations

The Ministry of Trade is carrying out new preparations within the scope of the Electronic Listing Verification System to combat fake listings and unregistered real estate brokerage in real estate purchase, sale, and rental processes.

e-Government Integration and Authorization

Erdem Karaman, Head of the Sectoral Trade and Movable Pledge Department, stated that it is planned to integrate authorization contracts via e-Government with the permission to publish listings, and noted that when a contract is canceled, the listing will also not be able to remain published.

Secure Payment System and Inspections

While it is planned to make the secure payment system used in second-hand vehicle sales mandatory for immovable property sales as well, it was expressed that the period for the application expected to start on October 1 will be extended through a regulation amendment.

Administrative Sanctions and Fines

Within the framework of inspections carried out targeting unauthorized businesses, it was announced that fines exceeding 105 million liras have been issued to 1,800 people to date, and administrative sanctions have been applied to 1,500 people due to exorbitant and manipulative price increases.

Title Deed Fees and Tax Demands

Abdullah Ünlü, Head of the Land Registry Department, reported that the demands for lowering title deed fees, reducing value-increase tax rates, and introducing a one-time amnesty have been forwarded to the Ministry of Treasury and Finance.
