October Economy Agenda: Inflation, Interest Rates, and Budget Calendar
Throughout October in Turkey, critical processes will take place, ranging from foreign trade data and inflation rates to the CBRT interest rate decision and the 2027 budget proposal.
A very busy schedule is expected for economic management and the markets in the tenth month of the year; foreign trade figures, inflation rates, CBRT interest rate decisions, and the 2027 budget proposal will be announced sequentially.
Foreign Trade and Inflation Data
Starting with Trade Minister Ömer Bolat announcing the September foreign trade figures in Istanbul, the process will continue with the September inflation data to be announced by TUIK on October 5.
Central Bank Parliamentary Presentation
CBRT Governor Fatih Karahan will make a presentation to deputies on global developments, inflation, and the monetary policy framework at the Parliamentary Planning and Budget Committee on October 6.
Critical Economic Indicators
Real return rates of September financial investment tools, August industrial production and construction cost indices, and balance of payments data will be announced sequentially by TUIK throughout the month.
Budget and Financial Developments
While the Ministry of Treasury and Finance will announce the September central government budget results, the Central Government Budget Law Proposal for 2027 will be submitted to the Parliament on October 17.
Interest Rate Decision and Other Statistics
The CBRT Monetary Policy Committee will convene on October 22 to discuss the policy rate decision, and housing sales, consumer confidence, and labor force statistics will also be shared within the same month.
