The OPEC+ group decided not to change its November oil production targets at its meeting on Sunday. The decision aligns with expectations that the group will not make any new adjustments to its production policy until next year.

OPEC+ Meeting and Decision Details

Seven core members—Saudi Arabia, Russia, Iraq, Kuwait, Algeria, Kazakhstan, and Oman—implemented the decision to keep November production targets steady following a brief online meeting.

Export Disruptions and Production Levels

OPEC+ producers in the Gulf continue to keep their production well below targets in the face of export disruptions caused by the impact of the US-Israel war on Iran. In recent months, exports have hovered between 60% and 80% of normal levels.

Market Expectations and Expert Assessments

UBS analyst Giovanni Staunovo stated that the seven members of the group did not change their production ceilings in line with market expectations, but noted that despite increased flows through the Strait of Hormuz, production levels remained below quotas, which keeps the market tight.

Course of Oil Prices

Oil prices declined on Friday after European leaders agreed to release diesel reserves into the market at the request of US President Donald Trump. Despite this, the barrel price of Brent crude remains above $100 compared to the $73 level seen before the Iran war.
