Within the scope of his contacts, he explained the goals of the COP31 summit to be held in Antalya in November to the public.
Roadmaps and Measures
Stating that the problems caused by climate change cannot be ignored, President Erdoğan expressed that measures and roadmaps will be laid out in detail during the COP31 process. He stated that the summit will cover the steps to be taken in combating the negative impacts of climate change on different geographies.
Responsibilities of Developed Countries
Emphasizing that it is a necessity to help countries that cannot bear the financial burden of global warming alone, Erdoğan voiced that supporting countries experiencing financial difficulties is the responsibility of developed countries. He underlined that concrete steps must be taken globally against the climate crisis.
Historical Mission of the Antalya Summit
Stating that natural disasters know no borders and threaten the entire world, Erdoğan said that the organization to be hosted by Turkey will undertake a historical mission. He noted that he believes the COP31 summit in Antalya will be an important junction on this long path.
