Turkey's automotive industry produced a total of 841,583 vehicles in the first eight months of the year, while data from the Automotive Manufacturers Association showed a 7 percent decrease in total production during this period.

Turkey's automotive industry managed to produce a total of 841,583 vehicles in the first eight-month period of the year.
According to official data shared by the Automotive Manufacturers Association (OSD), total production in this period recorded a 7 percent decline compared to the same period of last year.
Automobile and Tractor Production Figures
Automobile production decreased by 19 percent in the mentioned period, realizing at the level of 458,169 units.
When evaluated together with tractor production, the sector's total production figure was recorded as 854,860 units.
Capacity Utilization Rates
In the first eight months of the year, the general capacity utilization rate of the automotive industry was realized at 59 percent.
Capacity utilization rates varied by vehicle groups, measured at 60 percent for light vehicles, 57 percent for the truck group, and 67 percent for the bus-midibus group.
