Production Process Continues for the Second Set of the National High-Speed Train Project

Transport and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that production work on the second set of the National High-Speed Train project, developed with domestic and national resources, is continuing rapidly, and new sets will be put on the tracks in the coming years.

Production Work Continues Uninterrupted

Transport and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloğlu made important assessments regarding the National High-Speed Train project developed by Turkey Rail System Vehicles Industry Inc. (TÜRASAŞ). Minister Uraloğlu stated that while tests for the first set continue, the second set is being prepared for the tracks step by step.

Production and Set Targets by Years

Concrete targets have been set for the upcoming period in the project, which is advancing in line with the specified schedule. Minister Uraloğlu announced that they aim to produce a total of 14 National High-Speed Train sets over a two-year period, with seven sets in 2027 and seven sets in 2028.

Technical Features and Domestic Systems

Each National High-Speed Train set, consisting of eight vehicles, is designed to serve with a capacity of 577 passengers. The Train Control and Management System and the Traction System, which are among the critical components of the trains, were produced entirely domestically and nationally in cooperation with ASELSAN.

Testing Processes and Reached Speeds

The testing process of the first National High-Speed Train set is being successfully continued in accordance with the planned schedule. Having an operational speed of 225 kilometers per hour, the train reached speeds of up to 250 kilometers per hour within the framework of dynamic running safety tests.
