Raw milk production cost exceeded the recommended price

TÜSEDAD President Müslüm Doğru stated that the cost of raw milk production rose to 28.50 TL as of August, while the current recommended price remained at 24.30 TL, and said that the National Dairy Council should update prices on October 1.
Difference between cost and price
It was stated that raw milk producers are under cost pressure due to increasing input costs.
It was announced that there is a difference of 4.20 TL per liter between the current recommended sales price and the August cost.
The contradiction in shelf price increases
It was stated that while producer prices are suppressed, there are continuous increases in the shelf prices of milk and dairy products.
Attention was drawn to the fact that this increase in basic food products creates a contradiction in the public eye.
The impact of rising feed prices
It was recorded that there was an increase of approximately 11 percent in compound feed prices in August.
It was stated that energy, fuel, and logistics expenses also push up producers' costs.
Future period risks and call
It was requested that pricing be made with a sustainable approach covering a period of at least three months.
A call was made to take into account cost risks that may arise until the end of the year in the October evaluation.
