Russia sets condition of concrete steps for Trump's energy ceasefire proposal

Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova made statements regarding US President Donald Trump's proposed energy ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia, emphasizing that words must be backed by concrete steps.
Statement on Energy Ceasefire
Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova held a weekly press briefing as part of the International Youth Festival in the city of Yekaterinburg. During the meeting, she evaluated US President Donald Trump's energy ceasefire proposal.
Zakharova argued that while Moscow always complies with ceasefires, the same cannot be said for the Kyiv administration, noting that spoken words must be supported by concrete actions.
Switzerland and Weapon Production Facilities
Arguing that Switzerland has lost its status of neutrality, Maria Zakharova stated that NATO countries are establishing new weapon production facilities both on Ukrainian territory and outside its borders.
Zakharova explicitly stated that every point posing a military threat to Russia becomes a legitimate military target.
Diplomatic Decisions and Regional Security
Stating that necessary reciprocal steps will be taken against Hungary's decision to expel Russian diplomats, Zakharova said that Lithuania's plans to lift the nuclear weapons ban directly threaten Russia's security.
Zakharova also stated that the Russian military base in Armenia operates within the framework of bilateral agreements between the two countries and plays a critical role in regional security.
