Seasonally Adjusted CPI Increased in August

According to the seasonally adjusted special-scope CPI indicators for August announced by the Turkish Statistical Institute, the general CPI increased by 2.29 percent monthly.

General CPI and Other Sub-Items

According to the released data, the general CPI, one of the sub-headings of the indicators, rose by 2.29 percent monthly in August.

Change Rates of Special-Scope Indicators

The CPI excluding unprocessed food products, energy, alcoholic beverages, tobacco, and gold recorded an increase of 2 percent.

The CPI excluding energy, food and non-alcoholic beverages, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products, and gold increased by 2 percent.

Sectoral Price Increases

During the relevant period, the index experienced a rise of 1.29 percent in non-energy and non-food goods, and 5.46 percent in energy.

While the increase in the food and non-alcoholic beverages group was 1.48 percent, this rate materialized as 2.91 percent in the service sector.
