Seedless Raisin Purchase Prices and TMO Purchase Date Announced
The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry announced quality-based kilogram prices for seedless raisins ranging between 85 TL and 100 TL.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry announced new purchase prices to protect producers of the strategically important seedless raisin and ensure market stability. The Turkish Grain Board (TMO), meanwhile, will begin its purchase operations on September 15 following planned preparations.
Strategic Product and Market Protection
In the statement made by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, it was emphasized that Turkey holds a world leadership position in seedless raisin production and exports.
Kilogram Prices Determined
It was reported in the announcement that the price per kilogram for number 7 dipped seedless raisins is set at 85 liras based on quality, with 90 liras for number 8, 95 liras for number 9, and 100 liras for number 10.
Turkish Grain Board Preparations
It was conveyed that the Turkish Grain Board has completed its technical infrastructure, storage capacity, personnel planning, and financing preparations regarding the purchases.
Purchase Schedule Begins
It was announced that the Turkish Grain Board, having completed all its preparations, will begin purchasing raisins from producers as of September 15.
