Share buyback amounts of companies on Borsa Istanbul reach two billion liras
Following the Capital Markets Board decision, 58 companies operating on Borsa Istanbul carried out billions of liras worth of share buybacks in the week of September 22-28.
Following the Capital Markets Board's removal of the upper limit on the total price applied in share buybacks, share buyback transactions by companies on Borsa Istanbul gained significant momentum and approached two billion liras in the specified week.

With its decision dated September 22, 2026, the Capital Markets Board had removed the upper limit on the total price applied in share buybacks until a second announcement.

In the period of September 22-28, a total of 58 companies carried out share buybacks amounting to 1 billion 961 million 626 thousand 849 Turkish Liras in the markets.

While the highest daily transaction volume was recorded on September 24, the number of companies and transaction amounts varied by day.
Companies Making the Most Buybacks
During the relevant period, Çitlekçi carried out the highest amount of buybacks with 536.9 million TL, and this company was followed by other major institutions.
