SPK Sanctions and Criminal Complaints Decision on Share Transactions of Three Companies
Following market fraud investigations, 38 individuals and a portfolio management company were penalized with a trading ban on the stock exchange, and licenses were revoked.
The Capital Markets Board (SPK) has taken legal sanction decisions against numerous individuals and institutions on the grounds of irregularities in the share markets of three companies.
Investigation into Irregularities in Share Markets
Critical decisions regarding irregular transactions in capital markets were announced to the public in the weekly bulletin published by the Capital Markets Board.
Criminal Complaints and Legal Basis
As a result of investigations in the equity markets of Katılımevim, Gündoğdu Gıda, and Destek Finans Faktoring, it was decided to file criminal complaints with the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against a total of 38 individuals. It was stated that the criminal complaints will be made within the scope of the crime of transaction-based market fraud.
Stock Market Trading Ban Application
A trading ban on Borsa İstanbul for a period of two years was imposed on 38 persons determined to be responsible for transactions in the share market of the three companies and on Pusula Portföy Yönetimi.
License Revocations and Other Measures
Among the individuals subjected to the trading ban, all licenses of 10 persons holding capital market licenses were revoked in a manner that will lose validity during the ban period. Additionally, access blocks were imposed on five websites determined to be operating without authorization.
