Support Amounts for Plant and Animal Production Increased
Presidential Decrees prepared by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, increasing support amounts across many categories from plant production to animal husbandry, have been published in the Official Gazette.
Presidential Decrees prepared by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, which envisage increasing support amounts across a wide range from plant production to animal husbandry, and from beekeeping to aquaculture, have been published in the Official Gazette.
Coefficient Values Increased in Plant Production
Within the scope of the said decision, the support coefficient value per decare, which was 310 liras for this year's production practices, was raised to 367 liras. The support coefficient value per decare, which was 244 liras in the 2025 production year, thus showed a significant increase.
Additionally, the support coefficient value for the 2027 production year was raised to 442 liras, aiming for a planned and predictable vision in agricultural production.
Highest Increase on Product Basis in Legumes
The highest increase on a product basis occurred in lentil and chickpea supports. The planned production support for these products within the scope of planning was increased by 141 percent to 884 liras per decare.
Planning was made for producers growing lentils and chickpeas to receive 734 liras per decare for 2026 and 1,326 liras per decare for the 2027 production year.
Support Updates in Cereals and Other Products
The total basic and planned production support for wheat, barley, and corn was determined as 954 liras for the 2026 year and 1,149 liras for the 2027 production year. Support amounts for sunflower, beans, soybeans, and canola were also gradually increased.
New support figures that will be valid for both this year and 2027 in strategic products such as cotton, potatoes, onions, and safflower were also published in the Official Gazette.
Certified Seed and Consultancy Supports
Increases ranging from 101 percent to 201 percent were made in certified seed use support for products such as soybeans, peanuts, chickpeas, fodder peas, and lentils.
Agricultural extension and consultancy support was also increased by 40 percent compared to the previous year, rising from 345,450 liras to 483,630 liras.
Bovine and Ovine Animal Husbandry Supports
In bovine animal husbandry, the basic calf support was increased from 1,400 liras to 2,000 liras, and the water buffalo calf support from 2,800 liras to 4,000 liras, achieving a 43 percent increase.
In ovine animal husbandry, the basic lamb and kid support and shepherd support were increased by 43 percent, with the shepherd support reaching 116,100 liras.
Beekeeping and Other Livestock Items
In beekeeping support, the basic support per hive given to organized producers was increased to 250 liras, and to 200 liras for non-members of organizations.
The basic silk moth support was raised to 1,500 liras per kilogram, and the basic mohair production support to 220 liras per kilogram.
Calf Losses and Additional Supports
The scope of the support for calf losses occurring due to scheduled vaccinations was expanded to include losses caused by infectious diseases as well.
The support given per calf and water buffalo calf was increased to 20,000 liras, and the support given per lamb and kid to 4,000 liras.
Emphasis on Food Supply from Minister Yumaklı
Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı stated that they presented a planned and predictable agricultural vision.
