According to new regulations, starting September 2026, citizens who fail to comply with the pre-health screening call will be considered to have evaded military service.
With the new legal regulations that have entered into force, the status of individuals who do not comply with pre-health screening calls and decisions within the scope of military service has become clear.
Pre-Health Screening and Draft Evasion
According to the Military Service Law of 2015 and the amendments entering into force in September 2026, failing to comply with pre-health screening and medical examination decisions is considered an act of draft evasion.
Prohibited Acts and New Regulations
The new law aims to increase the transparency of the process by including fraudulent registration for military service and cheating in pre-selection among prohibited acts.
Rights of Employed Citizens
Citizens who are employed during the military registration, pre-selection, and medical examination period will receive their full salaries, current allowances, and round-trip travel expenses.
Commune-Level Military Command
Along with the law, the position of Political Commissar of the Commune-level Military Command has been added as an officer of the Vietnam People's Army and organizational structures have been regulated.
