Officials stated that the process was crowned by Syria's removal from the list of countries sponsoring terrorism. It was expressed that intensive work is being carried out to translate political developments into economic progress and concrete projects.

The delegation, which included 50 companies from various sectors and more than 80 representatives, demonstrated the Syrian government's decision to create an environment supporting the business world and the strengthened relations following the lifting of sanctions.

Acting US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Jacob McGee stated that the Washington administration encourages business people. It was announced that companies such as Chevron, HKN, Visa, and Mastercard have started signing agreements with Syrian firms.

The International Cooperation Department of the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates hosted a reception for the US delegation in Damascus. Additionally, the first Syrian-American Business Forum was held in cooperation with the Syrian-American Business Council.
