U.S. retail giant Target is preparing to launch new branches in October and November as part of its plan to open more than 300 new stores by 2035. With this growth strategy, the company aims to strengthen its presence nationwide.
New Stores Opening in October
Target announced that it will open the doors to a total of eight new stores in different states during October. Within this scope, new branches will become operational in the states of Mississippi, New York, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia.
Lima Branch Opening in November
In November, a new store will open in the city of Lima, Ohio. This new branch will replace a previously closed Macy's store and serve the local community.
Store Sizes and Features
The sizes of the stores to be opened vary depending on the cities. While the branch in Tupelo, Mississippi, will be the largest in the region with an area of approximately 148,000 square feet, the Bridgehampton, New York branch will be approximately 90,000 square feet.
Future Plans and New Branches
As Target prepares to open its final planned stores for 2026, it continues its efforts to open more than 30 additional new stores across 21 different states in the future.
