Trade Minister Ömer Bolat Spoke at Ahi Brotherhood Week in Kırşehir
Trade Minister Ömer Bolat announced at the Ahi Brotherhood Week program in Kırşehir that the Turkish economy has grown nearly sevenfold in US dollar terms over the last 23 years.
Attending the opening program of Ahi Brotherhood Week held in Kırşehir, Trade Minister Ömer Bolat evaluated the development of the Turkish economy over the past twenty-three years, stating that significant growth has been recorded in dollar terms.
Visit to Kırşehir and Opening Program
Arriving in Kırşehir within the scope of the Ahi Brotherhood Week celebrations, Trade Minister Ömer Bolat first visited the tomb of Ahi Evran-ı Veli. Afterwards, he came together with citizens at the official opening program held at Cacabey Square.
Speech by Governor Demiryürek
Delivering the opening speech at the program, Kırşehir Governor Murat Sefa Demiryürek emphasized the deep meaning of the Ahi Brotherhood in Turkish-Islamic culture. Governor Demiryürek stated that this deeply rooted institution continues to keep the unwritten law of trade alive.
23-Year Economic Growth Figures
Taking the podium as the guest of honor, Trade Minister Ömer Bolat emphasized that the most important service that can be provided for the people is to grow the economy. He noted that the economy has grown from 238 billion dollars to 1.7 trillion dollars as of June, experiencing a growth of up to 7 times in dollar terms.
Emphasis on Security and Regional Stability
In his speech, Minister Bolat also touched upon the conflicts surrounding Turkey and stated that they protect the country's peace. He expressed that under the leadership of the President, the 42-year terrorism issue has been eliminated and the country's territorial integrity is being resolutely defended.
